Ontario Christmas markets you can check out this holiday season

Christmas markets in Ontario offer the perfect way to ring in the holiday season.

Each one brings its own magic, some featuring rows of vendors selling handmade and seasonal goods, and others that feel like you've stepped into a classic storybook scene with cobblestone streets, roaming performers, and immersive holiday experiences that truly capture the holiday spirit.

So, if you're looking to sprinkle a bit of magic into the upcoming holiday season, here are some of the Christmas markets you may want to check out to make that happen.

Sugar Plum Fair

This two-day holiday-themed market will have everything you need to get a head start on your Christmas shopping. With over 100 vendors featured at the fair, you're bound to find everything from seasonal jams and homemade chocolate to stained glass, wreaths, and everything in between.

Admission: $7.50 
When: Nov. 15, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. | Nov. 16, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Nottawasaga Inn Resort & Conference Centre, located at 6015 Highway 89, Alliston, Ont.

Distillery Winter Village

This world-famous Christmas Market kicks off with its annual tree lighting ceremony, as well as a Santa's Village, roaming puppet performers, carollers, and other festive offerings. 

Admission: $18.65 
When: Nov. 13 to Jan. 4, 2026
Where: The Distillery Historic District, located at 55 Mill St.

Uxbridge Farmers Holiday Market

Here's your chance to shop with 30+ vendors at this one-stop shop market where you can shop for local artisanal goods, fresh produce, and more. 

Admission: Free 
When: Every Sunday, from Nov. 2 to Dec 14, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: The Second Wedge Brewing Co., located at 14 Victoria St., Uxbridge, Ont.

Holiday Magic at Blue Mountain

Stroll through a winter wonderland full of holiday lights, Santa sightings, live music, and even a snowdome cocktail garden, all for you to enjoy at Blue Mountain.

Admission: Free 
When: Nov. 15 to Jan. 5, 2026
Where: Blue Mountain Resort, located at 156 Jozo Wieder Blvd., Blue Mountains, Ont.

Elora Christmas Market

"Ontario's prettiest village" will be shining with 88,000 lights, market chalet shopping, and seasonal dining for guests.

Admission: Free 
When: Wednesday to Sunday, Nov. 14 to Dec. 25, 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Where: 55 Mill St. W., Elora, Ont.

Aurora Christmas Market

This two-weekend-long market gives you a chance to take pictures with Santa, see live performances in the Performance Hall, and shop a curated selection of seasonal goods.

Admission: Free 
When: Nov. 28 to Nov. 30 and Dec. 5 to Dec. 7, 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Where: Aurora Town Square, located at 50 Victoria St., Aurora, Ont.

Home for the Holidays

Celebrate the 38th edition of Home for the Holidays with 130+ vendors and three holiday exhibits to check out.

Admission: $14.50 (cash only)
When: Nov. 21, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. | Nov. 22, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. | Nov. 23, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 
Where: Markham Fairgrounds, located at 10801 McCowan Rd., Markham, Ont.

Niemi's Christmas Market and Farm

Roast your own s'mores, visit Gnome Ville, and shop at an indoor and outdoor market at Canada's Scandinavian Market.
