What to expect at the 2025 Christmas market in the Distillery District

Toronto is gearing up for the festive season, and part of that means the return of the annual Distillery Winter Village — better known as the Christmas Market — one of the city's most magical holiday attractions known to draw crowds to the Distillery District.

This year's market is a mix of returning traditions and new experiences, all of which you won't want to miss.

The 2025 edition has already unveiled a Narnia-inspired Santa's Village, and there are more surprises in store.

According to Rik Ocvirk, Vice President of The Distillery Restaurants Corp. and Director of Experiences and Events at The Distillery Historic District, "Many of The Distillery Winter Village favourites are back this year — from Santa's Village to the Naughty or Nice Bar to our famous photo ops."

"We've got some exciting new experiences in store that we can't wait to share when we announce the full line-up next month," added Ocvirk.

Market staples like roaming carollers, the popular countdown clock, and the food and cocktail stalls, ones that keep visitors in the holiday spirit, make a popular comeback. A fan favourite, Cluny's s'mores hot chocolate, will also return — now a viral sensation and must-try sweet treat.

The Distillery Winter Village runs from Nov. 13, 2025, through Jan. 4, 2026, with the tree-lighting ceremony taking place at 6 p.m. on opening night. Each year, thousands go to watch Santa flip the switch and set the beautiful Christmas tree alight, transforming it into a seasonal landmark in Toronto.

Tickets are mandatory to enter during busy hours: Opening Night, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays after 4:00 p.m.; Thursdays in December after 4:00 p.m.; and daily from Dec. 15 through 31.

General admission is $15.00 plus service fees and taxes, and tickets are available now on the event's official website.

The Distillery Winter Village takes place at 55 Mill Street.
