Three-day Trinidadian food festival will take over Toronto landmark next month

Toronto's Nathan Phillips Square is set to light up with the sounds and flavours of the Caribbean as the Trinbago Toronto Festival comes back to the city next month, celebrating the rich culture of Trinidad and Tobago with music, dance and, of course, delectable Caribbean eats.

Cue steelpan rhythms, soca and calypso beats, and food that will have you going back for doubles (literally, as doubles, roti, and everything jerk will be on tap).

Although a full list of vendors and entertainment is yet to be announced, organizers have taken to the event's official Instagram page to tease some of the foods that Toronto residents can expect to indulge in this year. 

Started in 2022, the fest has always brought the same energy each year, and is set to do the same for 2025.

It's also completely free to attend, taking place over the first weekend of September — perfect for those already missing Caribana spirit

Trinbago Toronto Festival takes place September 5  to 7 at Nathan Phillips Square, located at 100 Queen Street West.
