Toronto is getting a one-night-only Asian night market this May
One of Toronto's most popular summer series is coming to the Stackt Market this May. BACKYARD is making its highly anticipated return with its first event of the season, the Asian Night Market.
On May 17, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., this one-night-only celebration will feature over 50 curated Asian-owned businesses.
What to expect
They'll be serving up everything from authentic street eats and refreshing drinks to handcrafted goods and one-of-a-kind experiences.
Expect traditional cultural performances, live DJs and an electric atmosphere as thousands are sure to hit up the popular summer destination.
Over 14,000 attendees are expected to pack the grounds for a high-energy evening filled with flavour, music, and vibrant photo ops.
This event is all part of the five-part BACKYARD series, which transforms the downtown shipping container market into an immersive open-air festival space.
Tickets
This year, for the first time ever, guests can skip the line and guarantee entry with advance passes. The different tiers of passes include:
- The Early Bird Pass – Free, but limited to newsletter subscribers. It offers fast-tracked access from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and drops on April 29 at noon.
- General Admission – Free, but operates on a first-come, first-served basis
- Priority Pass – $10, gives guests expedited entry at any time.
Both GA and Priority Pass will officially open to the public on May 1, but early access is highly recommended for those who want to beat the rush.
