Toronto's Soul Provisions Flagship Factory Store is hosting a two-day market to give shuttered businesses a second chance.
'LOCAL SOUL: A Small Biz Holiday Market' will pop up for just two days, helping former female small-business owners earn extra income over the holiday season and give their products and brands a fresh — even if temporary — lease on life.
Let's be real: the local small-business landscape has been struggling with rising operational costs, forcing many owners to close their doors. LOCAL SOUL: A Small Biz Holiday Market offers businesses that shut down in 2025 a chance to operate as they once did, albeit just for one weekend.
Shoppers can browse goods from 12 different vendors, including jewelry brand STRAND, skincare line Bunnyroo, artwork from @drawmeamonster, and more. Guests can also enjoy a complimentary hot soup lunch while they shop, courtesy of Toronto Soup Co.
For those unfamiliar, Soul Provisions is home to Toronto Soup Co. and Soul Pops, two brands known for their curated, handcrafted soups and popsicles. These vendors will also be selling their goods at LOCAL SOUL, with proceeds supporting Toronto Soup Co.'s 2026 Soup Empathy Project, an initiative that distributes soup to those facing hunger and adversity.
LOCAL SOUL: Small Biz Holiday Market will run Dec. 12 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Dec. 13 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the rear of the Soul Provisions Flagship Factory Store, located at 68 Tycos Dr.
