Nick Jonas fans fume after Toronto brunch sells out in minutes

Nick Jonas seems to have upset Toronto residents after his upcoming Sunday Best brunch at Yorkville's Powder Room sold out in the blink of an eye when tickets were released Dec. 9.

Jonas is scheduled to give an intimate performance at the newly opened supper club and cocktail bar on Dec. 14, to promote his upcoming fifth solo album, Sunday Best, hitting shelves on Feb. 6, 2026.

Once tickets dropped, fans took to social media to express frustration over a lack of transparency, limited availability, and what some describe as a glitchy ticketing system.

To be fair, the process seemed simple enough. Fans — myself included (come on, who wouldn't want to be serenaded by Jonas while enjoying a gourmet three-course brunch?) — were instructed to join the waitlist on the singer's official website to receive an email when tickets went live. Unfortunately, that email lost its way to thousands of inboxes on the morning of Dec. 9. Yikes.

A Redditor in a thread dedicated to the upcoming brunch noted, "I didn't even get an email with the on-sale date/time! So mad I missed this. Where did you guys find out they were going on sale?"

Another user echoed the sentiment, saying, "I have signed up for alerts on Nick's website and have never gotten an email. I've signed up like 10 times, I don't know what else to do."

Organizers did announce that tickets would be available on Jonas's official website — but left out a key detail. Fans expected "BUY NOW" buttons to appear on the homepage, not realizing they had to click into the site's "Shop" page to find and purchase the tickets. A rookie assumption from fans or a lack of clear instruction from organizers? I'm inclined to think it's the latter.

The Powder Room's Instagram announcement post quickly filled with questions about where to find tickets, with comments like "Has anyone figured out where the tickets are?" and "The site is not updated!" taking over.

Another Redditor asked, "Are the tickets on Ticketmaster? I got an email today that said on sale Tuesday, but wondering if it's through TM or if we get a special link via email?"

Romy Duboisset of Toronto started refreshing the website at 9:55 a.m., hoping the purchase link would appear by the 10 a.m. sale time. "The tickets were not easy to find at all. I didn't know it was in the shop section," she tells blogTO. By the time she reached the right page, they were already sold out.

"I feel like the communication wasn't there. I found out tickets were being sold on Nick's website by checking the Toronto pages on Instagram. I just feel like it's unfair that we didn't have any information," Duboisset continues.

Despite having already seen the Jonas Brothers live three times — and with plans to attend their Ottawa show on Dec. 15 — she remains disappointed.

Some fans did stumble upon the ticket page before 10 a.m., only to be greeted with a dreaded "SOLD OUT" notification.

"So I clicked on 'Shop' at 9:59 a.m., the tickets popped up, and it allowed me to add two tickets to my cart. I had my automatic pay ready, and as it was loading, it said 'invalid,'" Stephanie Pliotas recalls to blogTO.

She said she wanted two tickets — each listed at $246 — and would have appreciated clearer communication from organizers. Given that the Powder Room's capacity is just over 200 people, limited availability was inevitable. Still, the confusion around the sale left many feeling shut out.

blogTO reached out to Jonas's booking agency, but they were unavailable for comment.

Despite the debacle, some lucky guests managed to secure their tickets and are hopefully in for a great time.

Jonas's appearance at the Powder Room will take place just hours before the Jonas Brothers hit the stage at TD Coliseum as part of their Greetings From Your Hometown Tour, which has been running since August 2025.

The Close singer will perform at the Powder Room on Dec. 14 at 12 p.m. at 129 Yorkville Ave.
