After a long seven-year wait, Ariana Grande is finally hitting the stage again — but not in Toronto.
The Grammy Award-winning singer and Oscar-nominated Wicked actress announced her highly anticipated Eternal Sunshine tour on Thursday morning, following a mysterious teaser on social media yesterday. Although the announcement was met with celebration from fans across the world, one major city (cough, Toronto, cough) felt the sting of exclusion.
Despite a back-to-back schedule that includes nine major North American cities and a five-night run in London, Grande's tour is skipping over Toronto entirely (at least, for now). Montreal is the only Canadian stop on the tour so far, and for many Toronto fans, that was a hard pill to swallow.
"ARIANA IS NOT COMING TO TORONTO I AM FUMINGGGGGG," one fan wrote on X. "Ariana going to Montreal and not Toronto girl wtf are we serious," another wrote.

"Ariana grande going on tour and only Montreal is seeing her and not Toronto?!!!!! IM UPSET," one fan chimed in.
The Eternal Sunshine tour, named after her seventh studio album, marks the singer's first tour since her Sweetener and Thank U, Next album run, which ended in 2019. The last time Grande performed in Toronto was on her 26th birthday on June 26, 2019, at Scotiabank Arena, so for many, the exclusion felt like a personal snub.
Grande will officially launch the tour on June 6, 2026, in Oakland, California, before heading to cities like Los Angeles, Austin, Atlanta, Chicago, New York, and of course, Montreal. The Montreal shows are slated for July 28 and July 30, 2026, at the Bell Centre.
The tour finally arrives over two years after Eternal Sunshine's release, and follows a period where Grande has focused more on acting. She's currently filming Focker In-Law, the fourth film in the Meet the Parents series, and will soon begin promoting Wicked: For Good, the second installment of the Wicked film adaptation, where she stars as Glinda opposite Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba.
Back in December, when asked by Variety about the possibility of touring again, Grande said that, "I think my fans know that music and being on stage will always be a part of my life, but I don’t see it coming anytime soon. I think the next few years, hopefully we’ll be exploring different forms of art, and I think acting is feeling like home right now."
If you're a Toronto-based Arianator, your best bet to seeing the "yes, and?" singer is by train, plane, or a road trip to Montreal for now. North American presale starts on Sept. 9 at 10 a.m. with general onsale beginning Sept. 10. Presale sign-up is now open through Sept. 7.
