Toronto is about to transform into a red carpet runway once again as the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) returns from September 4 to 14, 2025 — and yes, that means celebrities (and their sightings) are back in full force.
From Hollywood heavyweights to international stars, TIFF 2025 is already shaping up to be one of the most star-studded years yet, and fans are gearing up for the annual ritual of celebrity spotting outside Roy Thomson Hall, the Royal York, and even down Queen West.
Here are some of the biggest names confirmed (so far) to be attending TIFF 2025:
Angelina Jolie will be attending for the world premiere of Couture; she plays a filmmaker who arrives in Paris for the most coveted Fashion Week of the year. I'm sure Jolie will make heads turn as she graces the carpet at yet another TIFF.
The Irish film star is coming and bringing all the laughs. She stars in the Bristol-set comedy thriller Bad Apples, where Ronan plays a teacher pushed to extreme measures while handling a dangerously disruptive 11-year-old student.
Last seen on the TIFF red carpet in 2013, the star of The Matrix franchise returns this year as the lead in Aziz Ansari's directorial debut Good Fortune, playing an angel who orchestrates a body swap between a wealthy man and a struggling one. The film also stars Seth Rogen and Aziz Ansari in pivotal roles.
McConaughey comes back to entertain in The Lost Bus, where he plays a school bus driver who risks everything to rescue children during the devastating 2018 Camp Fire in California.
Making his return to TIFF's red carpet after 11 years, Tatum brings his film Roofman to Toronto for a much-anticipated premiere. He'll be joined by the film's director, Derek Cianfrance, and co-star Kirsten Dunst.
Get ready to welcome Evans to the city as he introduces his next venture, Sacrifice, to the world. His co-stars in this action-comedy include Anya Taylor-Joy, Salma Hayek, John Malkovich, and Charli xcx.
The much-awaited sequel of Knives Out will be hitting the TIFF screens with Kunis doing the rounds to premiere and promote her latest film, in the city.
And if that wasn't enough to get you amped, here are more names you can look forward to:
Stay tuned for more on TIFF in the coming weeks!
