Major international burger chain joins forces with family-run Ontario apple farm
Since planting its roots in Toronto back in 2024, U.S.-based burger chain Shake Shack has been making quite the splash across the city and beyond, expanding to eight locations across the GTA and beyond in just two years.
I'm the last person to needlessly shout out major U.S. chains when the city has so many great ventures of its own, particularly during these unique political times, but I'll give Shake Shack credit where it's due: beyond its standard smash burgers and milkshakes, the chain has also made its mark by collaborating with a series of local restaurants.
Joining forces with local institutions like Pizzeria Badiali and MIMI Chinese on special limited menus, as well as Bellwoods Brewery for its house ale, Shake Shack has steadily worked to integrate itself into the city's food scene, and it's just dropped what might be its most wholesome local collaboration yet.
Starting Tuesday, Sep. 1, the chain launched a limited-time fall menu in collaboration with Chudleigh's Entertainment Farm, a Halton Hills apple orchard and fun farm that's been family-run since 1967.
While past collabs have leaned more into the savoury side of things, this one is all about sweet treats, offering a concrete and a milkshake made from Chudleigh's pies.
Priced at $6.49, the Chudleigh's Apple Pie Concrete combines Ontario apples with Shake Shack's vanilla custard, while, for people looking to lean even harder into the autumnal vibes, the Chudleigh's Pumpkin Pie Shake ($7.29) consists of frozen, blended Ontario pumpkin topped with whipped cream and a spiced pumpkin pie crumble.
I can almost smell the leaves changing already.
The collaboration is available for a limited time at all Ontario Shake Shack locations and via delivery.
