Mega GTA food festival with stacked entertainment lineup is free all weekend-long

Get ready (and hungry) for a huge three-day food festival touching down in the GTA this summer, perfect for foodies, families, and summer vibes.

Downtown Markham Food Festival is a free weekend-long outdoor food festival celebrating culture, food, music, and community.

Held in the heart of Downtown Markham from July 10 to July 12, there will be over 40 food vendors and food trucks, live entertainment, cultural performances, local businesses, and family-friendly activities.

Foodie heaven

With delicious food centred at the heart of this event, festival-goers can expect a stacked lineup of tasty menus. From international street eats, local favourites, sweet treats, and unique culinary creations, there is something for everyone to chow down on.

Designed to celebrate the diversity that is reflected in the Markham community, you can bet on quality bites from around the globe. It's all about local vibrancy and bringing the neighbourhood together for something special.

Live entertainment

But of course, it's not just the food that makes the Downtown Markham Food Festival so special. Don't forget to check out the live entertainment, cultural performances, family-friendly programs, and more.

The Friday night kickoff will see Toronto's DJ DevoDLive spinning his infectious beats to keep the party going. Known for his magical crowd energy, this isn't a set to be missed.

Bruno Nesci, the Elvis Presley Tribute, will rock the same stage from 8 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., with his award-winning performances of The King.

Saturday keeps the party going with Eagles Tribute band Motel California, performing a whole host of timeless rock classics. Get ready to sing along to favourites like "Life in the Fast Lane" and (of course) "Hotel California".

The Downtown Markham Food Festival closes with a bang with a live performance by Raquel's Riot from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Straight off their 2026 Canadian Choice Award win, the band will bring its high-energy performance for all to enjoy.

Before this, local band Jam & Biscuits will bring their signature blend of pop-rock, J-pop hits and anime classics from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
