After more than a decade building up a cult following in Etobicoke, a popular pizza restaurant is finally expanding its footprint in Toronto.
Be it old-school and no-frills or hyped-up and line-heavy, everyone has their true-blue pizza spot in Toronto. For many an Etobicoke resident since 2014, that place has been 850 Degrees.
Named for the temperature — in Fahrenheit — at which the pizzas in question are fired, 850 Degrees has been a neighbourhood staple for the better part of 12 years. Isn't it only fair that people living elsewhere in the city get the chance to make it their new go-to, as well?
The 850 Degrees team seems to agree with that estimation because, soon, they're doing something about it and opening a second location.
Next up: Bloor West Village. While the exact opening date has yet to be announced, the restaurant's website currently lists a "late summer 2026" launch and, with summer going by, as it's wont to do, in the blink of an eye, it likely won't be much longer.
At the Bloor West location, you can expect to find 850 Degrees' entire suite of stone-fired pizzas, including an impressive gluten-free lineup, and other Italian treats like pasta, bruschetta, antipasto and caprese salad, just like its Etobicoke big sister.
850 Degrees Bloor West Village will be located at 2197 Bloor St. W.
