Luxury grocery and restaurant concept opening new Toronto location

An appropriately ritzy Toronto neighbourhood is about to be home to the sophomore location of a luxury grocery-meets-Italian restaurant concept.

Toronto's Yorkville neighbourhood is in a state of flux. Once considered the city's most upscale neighbourhood, the area has seen a swath of its luxury retail tenants shutter in recent years, with numerous buildings slated for redevelopment.

In 2024, amid the chain's bankruptcy filings, one such closure was luxury grocer Pusateri's, which had occupied the southwest corner of Yorkville Avenue and Bay Street for 20 years.

Since then, the storefront, once a cornerstone in the neighbourhood, has sat dormant; however, as life slowly begins to return to Yorkville, there's a new beginning on the horizon for the address in the form of Stock TC, the joint grocery and restaurant concept from Terroni and Cumbrae's.

Back in 2025, a representative from Stock TC confirmed to blogTO that the concept would be moving into the space at 57 Yorkville Ave., but didn't divulge many details about the new location beyond that.

Now inching (albeit slowly) toward opening, more information about what Yorkville residents can expect from their very own Stock location is here. 

The second location of the concept that originated at Yonge and Eglinton, Stock Yorkville will have a considerably smaller footprint than its forebearer, which the concept will use to its benefit, reinterpreting the idea in a more intimate way.

It'll still feature both an in-house grocer and a full-service restaurant, though. That much is non-negotiable.

The grocer will be stocked with pastries, quick-service bites, prepared foods, a butcher station and a tight selection of cured meats and cheeses, as well as a carefully curated lineup of pantry staples and ingredients.

At the restaurant, Stock Grille, you'll be met with a concise, bistro-esque menu of staples: crudos, steaks, pastas and seasonal specials, all washed down with an international wine and cocktail selection. 

"With our first location, we had the freedom of scale and knew exactly what we wanted," says co-founder Stephen Alexander.

"This time, the space and the neighbourhood called for a different approach, one that's more focused, more intentional, but still true to who we are."

Don't expect to do your weekend grocery shopping at Stock Yorkville any time soon, though. According to Stock, the new location won't be opening its doors until Spring 2027, so we've still got about a year to wait.
