Ontario mall reveals major transformation of food court

One Ontario mall's food court just got a serious glow-up.

Bramalea City Centre in Brampton, Ont., has officially completed a multimillion-dollar renovation of its food court, unveiling a newly modernized space spanning 31,701 square feet.

Located at 25 Peel Centre Drive, the transformation marks the first major upgrade the food court has undergone in 20 years.

Bramalea City CentreTo put it into perspective, the revamped  South Food Court is now bigger than Queen's Cross Food Hall inside Eaton Centre (19,000 square feet) but not as big as the Food District at Square One (around 40,000 square feet).

Designed by Pappas Design Studio Inc. in collaboration with Petroff Partnership Architects, the updated space embraces an "airy aesthetic" highlighted by light wood finishes and green, caramel, and terracotta accents to create a warm, welcoming vibe.

Bramalea City Centre offers a wide range of dining options for visitors, including sit-down restaurants like The Keg, Moxies, and The Pickle Barrel.

But beyond these established favourites, the food court, which features more than 30 restaurants, is looking to add two new spots soon: Szechuan Express and Poulet Rouge. A representative says these additions will further expand the variety of options available to shoppers and enhance the overall dining experience at the mall.
