Justin Bieber surprised an Ontario cafe with a visit and here's how it went

When it comes to Ontario's hometown heroes, they don't get much bigger than Stratford's own Justin Bieber, and according to one cafe, he's still keen on supporting nearby businesses.

Following his much-talked-about appearance at the Grammys alongside wife Hailey Bieber on Sunday, Feb. 1, it's safe to say there's an insurgence of Bieber Fever sweeping the globe, and nowhere is it more pronounced than in the singer's home province of Ontario.

As much of a magnet for controversy as he may have been over the years, Ontario residents just can't shake the soft spot we have for the Biebs.

No one knows this better than Cambridge's Monigram Coffee who, following Bieber's Grammy performance, took to Instagram to share a photo of a recent visit they had from the star.

"Our biggest flex is that Justin Bieber won't smile for the Grammys but he will smile for us," Monigram writes in the caption of the photo. "Forever a local rockstar!"

Caitlin Braun, daughter of Monigram Coffee owner Monica, tells blogTO that the photo was taken in September 2025, when the Biebers took a day trip to downtown Galt in Cambridge.

"It was so surreal to have them in the cafe, and we didn't recognize them at first," Caitlin says. Still, she describes both Justin and Hailey as "lovely and genuine people" who were "full of smiles and great energy."

So, how do the stars caffeinate? Caitlin tells blogTO that Justin ordered a classic Americano ("now deemed the 'Canadiano' for patriotic support," she notes), while Hailey opted for a brown sugar shaken iced espresso.

"We gave them a bag of our Madcat espresso and told them they'd be welcome at Monigram anytime," Caitlin says.

But the Biebers aren't the only stars showing Ontario love lately.

Just last week, comedian Will Arnett waxed poetic about homegrown burger chain Harvey's on an episode of Hot Ones, while Ottawa's stock continues to rise thanks to Heated Rivalry-related pandemonium.

There's never been a better time to live in Ontario, it seems. Well, aside from the extreme cold and historic snowfall.
