dollarama snack recall canada

Snack sold in Dollarama locations across Canada recalled due to mould

Check your snack drawer before you take your next bite. If you've bought a waffle treat at Dollarama, it may be part of a Canada-wide recall.

According to a Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) bulletin, Biskwi brand's Waffles with Chocolaty Filling have been recalled due to mould.

"Do not use, sell, serve or distribute the affected product," said CIFA in the national recall issued on Friday, Oct. 10 and published on Thursday, Oct. 16.

Dollarama is issuing a recall for the Biskwi waffles with the universal product code 6 67888 54812 5.

The recalled product is 180 g in size. The best before dates are between April 21, 2026, and May 12, 2026.

CFIA has categorized the waffle recall as a Class 3, which means "there is a low risk that consuming the food may result in any undesirable health problems."

This is not the only recent food recall that Canadians had to be mindful of when shopping or dining.

Earlier this year, recalled salami in Canada caused nearly 100 cases of salmonella.

Over 100 Canadians also became sick due to salmonella outbreak tied to pistachio products between March and September.

Costco announced that it's recalling the 5 kg bag of Kirkland Signature Traditional Basmati Rice due to the "possible presence of insects."

And a popular Canadian whisky brand was recalled in several provinces this summer due to "extraneous material."
