A chain serving up masterful charcuterie boards that's already made a massive splash south of the border is gearing up to open its first Canadian location in Ontario later this month.
I love a good charcuterie board just as much as the next girl. Actually, probably even more, but the issue of assembling one of my own with enough artistic tact that it prompts my friends to post a picture of it on their Instagram stories is another issue altogether.
I'm a creative person, but jeez. There's only so much I can reasonably do with my value pack of cured Italian meats from Loblaws, week-old green grapes and Boursin cheese. The opportunity to outsource my charcuterie board creation would really resolve a lot.
Enter Graze Craze, a U.S.-based charcuterie board chain that does all the work of assembling your meat-and-cheese trays for you. It's like Edible Arrangements, but with animal-based products. And not in the shape of a bouquet. So nothing like Edible Arrangements at all, now that I think about it.
I digress. Graze Craze specializes in charcuterie boards: loads of them, small enough to serve a single "lone grazer" or big enough to feed 20. They've got classic boards, keto boards, dessert boards, and boards that come with wine pairings.
All of them put my own meagre attempts at an Instagram-worthy charcuterie to shame.
With such a bounty of offerings, it's no wonder that the chain has virtually exploded across the U.S. since it first launched in 2021. Originally founded in Oklahoma, the chain now boasts branches in 35 U.S. states.
Later this month, it'll also boast an Ontario presence, too, as the first-ever Canadian Graze Craze location prepares to make landfall in Stoney Creek.
The new branch is owned and operated by longtime Stoney Creek resident Danielle Parks, giving the location a much-appreciated connection to the local community while keeping them fed with their fill of meats, cheeses, and all manner of tasty accoutrements.
The new location is set to open on Thursday, May 21, complete with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Hamilton mayor Andrea Horwath, to mark the momentous occasion. Well, momentous depending on your level of lactose tolerance, anyway.
Graze Craze Stoney Creek will be located at 312 Gray Rd. There's no word on whether a Toronto location is in the works just yet, but if the chain's viral invasion south of the border is any indication, it shouldn't be long before it happens.
