sweet city fest

Huge candy and sweets festival coming to Toronto

Sharpen up those sweet tooths, Toronto, because Stackt Market's Sweet City Fest is right around the corner, bringing a healthy dose of sweetness to the 6ix.

Back for its third year running, the festival is a celebration of all things sweet that happens annually just in time for Family Day, Valentine's Day and any gloomy February day when one might find themself hankering for an extra boost.

The festival runs for 13 days, taking over Stackt Market with a series of special events, entertainment, workshops and, of course, plenty of sweet treats.

Among some of the highlights for this year's festival, you can attend a chocolate-making workshop on Feb. 19 where you'll learn the history of chocolate and chocolate-making while creating your own confections.

On Feb. 23, the last night of the festival, things cap off with a celebration that's a collaboration between Toronto-based artist Chika Oh's "Born to Create" exhibit and Sunde Social, with live art displays, live music, DJs and dancing.

Throughout the festival's entire run, you can visit the vendor market to satisfy those sugar cravings with offerings from more than 10 different vendors offering their tastiest treasures.

That's not all, though; the festival's entire run promises a whole host of sweet surprises, from special programming for the Family Day long weekend to pop-up performances and additional workshops to keep you coming back for more.

On Valentine's Day, there'll also be a special dining experience for you and your boo at their Speakeasy Whiskey Bar, with a four-course meal provided by Woodbridge's Yokai Izakaya and The Best Catering Co. with a selection of cocktail pairings.

In the words of Sabrina Carpenter; "isn't that sweet? I guess so!"

Sweet City Fest 2025 kicks off on Feb. 11 and runs through until Feb. 23. For more details, visit Stackt Market's website.
