Viral 'SubwayTakes' show released its first Toronto episode

Viral talk show SubwayTakes has imported its successful formula from New York City to Toronto, and the first TTC-based episode of the smash-hit internet series has officially arrived.

Host and comedian Kareem Rahma generated buzz at this year's Toronto International Film Festival when he told eTalk that the popular interview show was getting a Toronto edition.

Episode 811 of SubwayTakes dropped on Monday, where Rahma interviews a local content creator about first dates. And unlike your standard SubwayTakes episode, mics are clipped to Presto cards instead of NYC MetroCards, and subway seats are red instead of grey.

Rahma has much more in store for Toronto audiences, and said in September that he plans to release episodes featuring local homegrown celebrities like Matty Matheson and Mike Myers.
