Shocking video has emerged amid out-of-control wildfires in northwestern Ontario, showing a Canadian National Railway (CNR) train engulfed in an inferno.
A scene from rural Ontario that looks like something out of a Hollywood blockbuster was shared on social media by Sol Mamakwa, Member of Provincial Parliament for Kiiwetinoong, and has been met with shock online.
The video, which has racked up millions of views on social media, shows the interior view of a train in the small rural community approximately 213 kilometres north of Thunder Bay, as wildfire flames surround the train cabin.
This is near Armstrong, Ontario.

When will the Canadian National Railway Company make a statement about this incident? pic.twitter.com/6bKJYugeR0
"This could potentially overtake us here, this is getting a little scary," says one of the train's occupants. "Y'all need to hurry up here, like seriously, we are encased in flames now."
Though the panic seems to settle after a short time, a second train can then be seen passing over adjacent tracks with active fires still visible on the right of way.
A CNR representative confirms to blogTO that train crews were safely evacuated from the area.
blogTO has reached out to Sol Mamakwa seeking comment on the incident.
