People from Toronto can audition for jobs at Disney's international resorts this spring

If there's one thing people love in this world, it's Disney. The brand has existed since the early 1900s and has been spreading joy ever since. If your dream has been to be a part of the world of Disney yourself, you don't even have to leave Toronto to achieve it.

Disney's Shanghai Resort and Hong Kong Disneyland are holding auditions in Toronto for characters and vocalists next month, and it could be your big break.

The auditions will be held on May 10 and 11, 2025 at the city's Elgin Wintergarden Theatre.

There will be three auditions in total, with the first on the 10th calling for Disney character look-alikes.

"We are hiring character look-alike performers who can act and move well. They will portray characters from Classic Disney films, Marvel and other Disney franchises. Character look-alike performers may appear in stage shows, parades, character greetings, heroic encounters and special events, etc." says Disney.

For females, the characters include Mirabel, Isabela, Tiana, Moana, Jasmine, Anna, Elsa, Ariel, Aurora, Belle, Cinderella, Snow White, Merida, Tinker Bell, Alice, Gamora, Captain Marvel and Black Widow.

For males, some of the characters that will be portrayed include Captain America, Doctor Strange, Star-Lord, Thor, Loki, Oaken, Kristoff and Disney princes.

The auditions for singers begin on May 11, with one for Shanghai and one for Hong Kong.

All hopefuls are asked to arrive early and bring two copies of their cover letter and resume. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and willing to relocate for the duration of the contract, as well as have proof of a valid passport.

The full audition timing breakdown is as follows:

• May 10, 2025, 10 a.m. — Character look-alike performers (Hong Kong Disneyland) at Elgin Wintergarden Theatre
• May 11, 2025, 9:30 a.m. — Singers (Hong Kong Disneyland) at Elgin Wintergarden Theatre
• May 11, 2025, 9:30 a.m. — Singers (Disney's Shanghai Resort) at Elgin Wintergarden Theatre
