Shot of art: Suburbia Mexicana at Gallery 345

Last night saw the opening of the Suburbia Mexicana exhibit at Gallery 345 on Sorauren Avenue. Part of this year's Contact Photography Festival, the feature exhibit - presented by Circuit Gallery - displays the work of photographer Alejandro Cartagena. Most of the large format photos are taken in Northern Mexico (near Monterrey) and document the expansion and gentrification of the area. The exhibit runs until May 29th. More info on the Contact web site.
