Book Scene: TBA Winner and New Grads

Dionne Brand won the Toronto Book Awards with What We All Long For.

This Wednesday, Sept 13, the Harbourfront Centre presents International Readings Celebrates Humber School for Writers 15th Birthday at 7:30pm.

The event features some big names, The Hon. James K. Bartleman, Lieutenant Governer of Ontario; Wayson Choy; Joe Kertes; Vincent Lam; Alistair MacLeod; Kim Moritsugu; Paul Quarrington; M.G. Vassanji, and the always sharp Francine Prose gives the keynote speech.(Brigantine Room, 235 Queen's Quay West)

For something a little smaller on the same day, Eva Stachniak will be touting Garden of Venus at the Runnymede branch of the TPL. 7p. 2178 Bloor W.
