Whippersnapper Brings Gallery-Going to College

Last night brought the much-anticipated opening of the Whippersnapper Gallery. Located at 587a College, upstairs from Chinadoll, the gallery is run entirely by students and artists for students and young artists.

It's been quite a renovation process, the details of which can be found on Whippersnapper's blog, and overall the space looks great; and last night featured wall to wall art including painting, printmaking, fashion, photography and video, as well as a bar serving Brick stubbies and wine at the back.

I have to say it's great to see something open up on College that isn't a martini bar or has white leather sofas. On a related note, Magic Pony hosts a Blythe party this Saturday night from 7-10pm.
