A King's Ransom at Slack's Tonight

'Tis a fine time to be a drag king in T.O.

Last year, the wild success of drag & burlesque extravaganza series, Genderfukt, saw Sneaky Dee's expand their upstairs to accomodate sell-out crowds... only to have the show move to Hacienda (formerly Tequila Lounge) for the upcoming April show to accomodate demand.

With Genderfukt shows only 4-6 times a year though, there's been some room for another show to squeeze in and fill the drag king gaps... enter King's Ransom.

Organized by Sabastien Cognito, a Genderfukt veteran, King's Ransom takes the drag back to the village, with smaller scale shows at Slack Alice (560 Church St).

Tonight's show features some of Genderfukt's most popular regulars: Milo de Milo, Justin, Owen Strutz, Kat.Ass.Trophy, Skylar Rocket (the king behind Genderfukt), Sabastien Cognito, Straitjacket Tyler, and Elton Schlong, to name a few.

Doors open at 10:30pm. You might just find me snapping pics by the side of the stage.

As for Genderfukt, it returns April 7th... stay tuned for details on that one.
