Speak! This Sunday

This Sunday (January 29th), head down to Studio 409 in the Case Goods Warehouse at the Distillery and check out Speak: An Afternoon of Visual and Verbal Storytelling.

The second event in this new series features storytellers Bryan Piitz (whose Chubby Productions is profiled here), Harriet Xanthakos, and Puppeteer Mike Petersen (read about his fringe show here).

Ann McDougall (of Tinderbox Theatre), Noah Kenneally, and Lisa Pijuan Nomura co-curate, which is bound to make for a sparkling mix of styles.

The event, which runs from 4:00pm to 6:00pm (perfect for a little pre-dinner entertainment) is PWYC - suggested 5$-10$ at the door. There will be snacks and tea available in Studio 408 where you can also peruse the photography of Melanie Gordon.

These are stories for grown up peoples, by the way - though plans for a kid-friendly Speak are in the works.

The Case Goods Warehouse is the building directly behind Balzac's at the southernmost end of the main cobblestone road of the Distillery District; Studio 409 is located on the 4th floor; there is an elevator available for folks in need.
