FILM: Get short at the Distillery. This Tuesday, catch the free screening of the BEST IN SHOW shorts from the 2005 World Wide Short Film Fest. 8:30pm. 55 Mill Street. Videos, short films and animation on tap as the excellent RES screening series returns to the Royal August 18th.

MUSIC: Sharp Like Knives on the sched for the show this Saturday at Sneaky Dee's. $5. Quadrasonic serves up BARRIO LAB at the Drake tonight as part of the recurring oh-so-College Street Martini Mondays.
