Coupland Does Bader

Gen X wonderboy Douglas Coupland will be making a Toronto appearance next week at the comfy Isabel Bader Theatre. The author will be in town on January 12th to read from his new novel, Eleanor Rigby. Tickets are $10. Start time is 7:30pm.

The last time I saw Coupland was at the Harbourfront Reading Series back in 2003 when he was being interviewed by local design guru Bruce Mau. That event was entertaining but didn't quite live up to the hype. The only thing I can remember was DC going on a long rant about the lack of good raw tuna in the city. Perhaps we can expect some more fish stories in the wake of Toronto's sushi scandal.
