Henry's Outlet Centre on Queen Going Deadpool
There's a closing sale happening at Henry's Outlet Centre at 69 Queen Street East. The company says the downtown Outlet Centre will be closed in March and is planning to open a new outlet store in Mississauga.
Originally the location of ALT Camera Exchange which went out of business in 2001, Henry's eventually purchased ALT's inventory and used the location as a retail outlet for old stock items and used equipment.
It's fun to search through those junk piles for the rare finds but don't expect to get any great bargains as Henry's is doing very well selling their good used items online and therefore don't have much of a need to give the store away.
Makes me wonder how much my DSLR will be worth in eight or ten years.

Nor do you need one to get to anywhere... if you have unlimited time. You do need a car to get to anywhere in Mississauga, much less around it, in anything like reasonable time.
I commute there from Toronto on transit: 70 min versus 35 min by car.
Too bad the rent downtown is pricing all the old stuff out and all the big box stores in.
Sorry to see it go.
Consider that before hopping on the streetcar or subway.
Please, so many people that work in the 416 are 905ers anyways.
Truly, a car-less world narrows ones options. I'd prefer Henry's in Mississauga with free parking. Going to Queen/Church was a nuisance.
