Twitter explodes after new Rob Ford crack tape surfaces

Posted by Derek Flack / May 1, 2014

Twitter Rob FordTwitter and other social media platforms were set ablaze last night in the wake of news that there was not only another Rob Ford crack tape, but that the mayor was taking a leave of absence in an attempt to address his substance abuse issues (to say nothing of his damaged image). Reaction ranged from exasperation to glee as the city processed the latest entry in the troubled Ford saga, and that's to ignore the fact that within minutes, the story had gone international. So while Jimmy Kimmel (wisely) decided to keep it clean last night, there's plenty of ironic humour to be taken in below. Read it and weep, Toronto.

Misquote bigtime! I'm taking a 30 MINUTE leave, not 30 days!

TOTAL misquote. I said a 30-centimetre LEAP. You know, at the annual Etobicoke Fair "Leap of Ribs" competition???

(If I can top my personal best of 29cm, I win a rack of ribs!!)

As I''ve always said , Rob Ford is his own worst enemy and the days of blaming others are over. Rob should resign but he won't, instead he will ride this gravy train to the end of the line and see defeat on election day.
I always knew this was not going to end well for Rob but it's not like he needs the job being a wealthy man but maybe now he will get the help he needs and be around to enjoy the wealth his father left him.
