A New Beet in The Junction

It would be an unfair to lump the The Beet together with the hefty entourage of organic shops appearing around the city. Instead, The Beet should be heralded as setting a new standard for fair-trade, organic cafes and shops.

I had a terrible experience at the Beet -- rude staff, flavourless food. I won't be back.

I just discovered The Beet yesterday and it's fantastic! The staff is wonderfully helpful and willing to take time to talk and explain things. The cafe itself is very cleverly built and it's amazing to what lengths they've gone to give the place the smallest environmental footprint they could. I can't wait to go back!

It's true, the Beet sucks. They are really rude and every time we phone its so loud in the background they can't hear us and hang up. We have tried many times to give them a chance but after be spoken to in a rude manner we have given up!
