7 new restaurants to try in Toronto this weekend

New restaurants in Toronto can offer us all kinds of different experiences, whether you want to feel like you've blasted off into space or transported to a soju bar in Korea. A couple great new options for pasta also just opened up.

Here are some new restaurants to try in Toronto this weekend.

Simpl Things

Pasta and fresh bread are served by day and cocktails and Taiwanese street food take over at night at this new restaurant taking up residence in the Parkdale space that used to be home to Nice Nice Wine.

Cafe Paradise

The Paradise Theatre family in Bloorcourt that already includes Osteria Rialto has opened up this new restaurant and cafe where you'll find dishes made with local ingredients as well as baked goods.

Offworld Bar

Escape from Earth for an evening at this new West Queen West space-themed concept by Storm Crow Manor where you can fuel up with spicy jackfruit sliders and burrata and also lift off with out-of-this-world thematic cocktails.

Mapo Pocha Soju Bar

Koreatown just became home to this new soju bar serving house soju and snacks like corn cheese, beef tartare and fried chicken. Lots of flashing lights set the mood.

Chef Mustafa

Turkish cuisine can now be found at a new place on the Danforth at this restaurant serving up classics like manti dumplings, pide, doner and kebabs.

BB's

This Filipinx restaurant has opened in its new home at 5 Brock Ave. where Superfly used to be, and you can now head there on the weekend for brunch during the day and cocktails at night.

Big City Jerk

Caribbean fusion is now available in Moss Park at this unassuming little restaurant with a decent selection of options on the menu.
