Ontario farm's 'seriously upgraded' corn maze will reopen this month
With fall just around the corner (mind-boggling, I know!), a corn maze in Ontario is officially getting ready to welcome visitors back with a revamped version of the classic autumn activity.
Shuh Orchards, a family-owned, 50-acre farm with more than 62,000 trees in West Montrose, is set to reopen for the season later this month, kicking off a stretch of daily farm fun that runs through the end of October.
While the orchard's corn maze has long been one of its signature attractions, this year's version is being touted as a major overhaul, with the farm promising a "seriously upgraded" experience for guests.
The maze is designed to cater to everyone. Visitors looking for a leisurely stroll can walk right through from start to finish, while those with adventure on their mind can opt for a challenge and search for hidden items placed throughout the path.
But the reimagined maze isn't the only thing that's new this season.
Visitors can also explore a brand-new flower walk and be among the first to stop by the newly opened Shuh Orchards Cafe when the farm opens to the public.
Beyond the latest additions, the orchard offers a full lineup of activities included with admission, including tractor rides and a petting zoo. And, of course, no fall farm visit is complete without apple picking, which is expected to begin in early September.
While access to the orchard is included with admission, picked apples are priced separately.
The family-run orchard has been growing apples for more than a decade as part of a farming legacy that spans four generations. Today, the farm blends pick-your-own experiences with seasonal attractions, making it easy to spend an entire day in the countryside.
The farm officially opens from Aug. 15 to Oct. 31 and will welcome visitors daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Day passes are available online or at the gate for $10 on weekdays and $12 on weekends.
