Nobu Hotel Toronto opens bookings and is offering discounts for first guests

After the extremely-hyped grand opening of Nobu's very first Canadian restaurant last summer, the next stage of the upscale hospitality brand's enormous Entertainment District development is now ready to make its equally-anticipated premiere.

As of Thursday, the chain — which is synonymous with luxury and known to be frequented by the elite — is finally accepting reservations for its Nobu Hotel Toronto, with the first slots available as early as June 1, 2025.

Even better, inaugural guests will be able to enjoy a special opening offer that includes a free room upgrade and other exclusive perks during their stay, as well as a hotel credit of up to $200.

The update comes some eight years after the landmark residential, hotel and restaurant complex was first announced for 15-35 Mercer Street, and a whole seven years after construction first started.

Locals eagerly looking forward to a taste of Hollywood in T.O. were very patient through pandemic-era delays, and though reviews of the renowned restaurant started off a little mixed when it opened its doors last August, there was no denying the one-of-a-kind seduction of the space, which introduced a new level of elegance to the city across a thoughtfully-designed 10,000 square feet.

The hotel portion of the building encompasses 36 rooms on the 41st to 45th floors, and boasts amenities like a state-of-the-art fitness centre with Peloton bikes, a lounge with complimentary breakfasts, and Japanese deep soaking wood tubs and Dyson appliances in-suite.

Guests also get access to priority bookings at the adjoining restaurant or room service offerings from it if they prefer to stay in.

The company, which is helmed by esteemed Japanese chef Nobu Matsuhisa, filmmaker and businessman Meir Teper, and actor Robert DeNiro, bills its latest addition as "an urban sanctuary in the sky" that is ideal for "guests seeking respite from the public eye" — a.k.a., the stars known to dine at its New York City, Malibu and other international outposts.

Units in the condo side of Nobu Toronto, which sold out at record speed, are currently listed for as much as $1.3 million.
