'The Handmaid's Tale' actress slams Air Canada saying 'do better'

Ever Carradine, whom you may recognize from the hit series The Handmaid's Tale, is upset after being downgraded on an Air Canada flight.

Carradine took to Instagram and Threads to recount her recent experience during a flight from Toronto to Los Angeles after wrapping up filming.

"So apparently Air Canada can just bump you from your business class seat to a middle in economy?" she wrote. "This was my eighth flight since January 6 and pretty psyched I was coming home from my wrap party because I'm not interested in flying Air 🇨🇦 for a while."

In the post, she shares a screenshot of an email from the carrier informing her that the cabin class for her trip has changed.

She also stated that neither the WiFi nor the in-flight entertainment worked during the flight.

"Sorry — but I'm pissed," she wrote. In a selfie, she stated, "Do better, Air Canada."

Others suggested reasons for why Carradine was downgraded.

"They do this a lot. They give their pilots priority over paying customers," wrote one commenter.

Someone else stated, "You should receive compensation from Air Canada, depending on the fare class you bought and for the malfunctioning screen."

However, some weren't as sympathetic.

"Ouch, girl, read the room," wrote one commenter. "This is VERY tone-deaf right now. No one cares that you got bumped from business class."

We contacted Air Canada and will update this story when it responds.
