New super cheap bus route travels to Ontario skiing destination

Gone are the days of trying to secure a seat in a carpool just to spend a day on the slopes; Flixbus, one of North America's fastest-growing bus providers, has introduced a brand-new route that takes you straight to one of Ontario's most popular ski hills.

Just in time for the peak of ski season, Flixbus is offering Toronto residents an affordable and fast new route that takes you straight to Barrie's Horseshoe Valley Resort.

Added as a new stop on the bus company's Toronto-Sudbury route, which services destinations downtown Barrie, Parry Sound, Port Severn, and Waubaushene, the new route has officially taken effect as of Jan. 31.

The new route will operate one roundtrip journey a day from Thursday to Monday, so whether you're planning on a quick day trip or an extended getaway, you've got your travel needs covered.

Buses leave from Union Station at 8:30 a.m. or Pearson Airport at 9:15 a.m. and arrive at Horseshoe Valley Resort at 10:45; all the while, you'll be kicking back with free Wi-Fi and all your newfound snow buddies.

Fares start at just $13, and you can learn more through Flixbus' website.

If skiing isn't your thing, not to fear — Horseshoe Valley Resort is also home to the largest tubing hill in Ontario, as well as a host of other fun winter activities.
