The Source store in Toronto closing and transforming into Best Buy

A location of fading electronics retailer, The Source, will soon be turning into a new Best Buy location.

Shoppers at Yonge and Eglinton will soon have a new spot to shop all of their tech and electronic needs, as their local The Source store is set to transform into a new Best Buy location.

The store, located at the Yonge-Eglinton Centre, is the latest in a mass rebranding that will see more than 160 locations of the Canadian electronics store transformed into quick-service Best Buy Express locations.

In a release issued by Bell Canada, who own The Source, earlier this year, the company promises that the change will offer shoppers "an updated store experience, as well as an expanded product assortment, customer experience and training."

The first of the new Best Buy Express locations opened on June 26 in Surrey, BC, with the rest expected to begin openining over the next six months.

In the case of the location at Yonge and Eglinton, the Source location is officially closed for renovation, and is expected to be opening sometime this July, though the exact date has yet to be announced.
