With the NBA season getting underway this week, there's a new patch coming to the Toronto Raptors' jersey that fans might not be able to take their eyes off.
Since the NBA allowed sponsor patches on jerseys a decade ago, the Raptors have had the same Sun Life Financial white or black logo on the front left chest of their uniforms.
Sun Life Financial will remain the team's jersey sponsor for the 2026-27 season, but its logo is getting a makeover on two of the Raptors' Swingman Statement jerseys.
The patch on both the red and black jerseys will feature a large, 2.5-inch yellow circle with "Sun Life" printed underneath.

It'll be the first time the franchise has had a jersey patch in a colour that doesn't match any of the team's three colourways.
The change comes as part of Sun Life's recent global rebrand, which replaced its globe-and-sun logo with a simpler yellow circle. The new design reportedly reflects the company's tagline: "make life brighter."
Like any form of change, Raptors fans on Reddit weren't necessarily thrilled about the look.
"They should have left it white," one fan wrote.
"They can't make it a neutral colour to blend with the colours of the jersey? Looks amateur," another questioned.
"The text background makes this look genuinely hideous," wrote another.

Real Sports Apparel
The good news for fans who don't want the bright yellow patch is that jerseys featuring the Sun Life logo will only be sold at Scotiabank Arena, Real Sports Apparel, and via the team's online store.
So if you purchase a Raptors jersey elsewhere, odds are the corporate stamp won't be on it.
Still, it might take a few games for fans to get used to seeing the new patch on their favourite Raptors, especially since it isn't going anywhere, with Sun Life reportedly paying more than $5 million per year to keep its brand on Toronto's jerseys.
The Raptors will open their season on Wednesday night at Scotiabank Arena against the Chicago Bulls at 7:30 p.m.
