Kawhi Leonard may not officially be a Toronto Raptor just yet, but his latest public appearance suggests the trade could be going through.
Leonard was courtside Monday night for the Raptors' NBA Summer League game in Las Vegas, sitting near team owner Larry Tanenbaum and general manager Bobby Webster.
This is the second time Leonard has appeared at a Raptors event since it was announced on June 30 that the Los Angeles Clippers would trade him to Toronto in exchange for Gradey Dick, Brandon Ingram and several draft picks.
The trade, however, was put on hold by the NBA a week later as the league continues to investigate allegations that the Clippers circumvented the salary cap by arranging a $28 million "no-show" endorsement deal for Leonard through a third-party company.
Despite the ongoing investigation, Leonard appears to be confident that he's a Raptor. He attended Kyle Lowry's retirement ceremony in Toronto on July 7 and was most recently seen chatting with Raptors executives and players while taking in Monday's game.

It's a very stark contrast from when Leonard was traded to Toronto back in 2018, when he didn't make his first public Raptors appearance until his obligatory Media Day interviews.
With Leonard continuing to get cozy with the Raptors amid the unresolved investigation, it certainly gives the impression that both sides are confident that the trade will eventually be completed. Otherwise, it would make for a very awkward scenario.
Leonard was also spotted chatting with his former Raptors teammate Danny Green, who was working the NBA TV Summer League broadcast as the play-by-play analyst.
When asked what Leonard adds to an already strong Raptors roster, Green hyped the team up.
"It helps them tremendously and will automatically put them into contention," Green said.

His longtime teammate Danny Green believes the Raptors would automatically become contenders, a team that could reach the Eastern Conference Finals.

"This was a team that was on the fringe. They are in the conversation to reach the Eastern Conference final."
Leonard stayed and watched the next generation of Raptors beat the Indiana Pacers 94-93, improving their Summer League record to 2-1. If the team wins their last Summer League game on Thursday against the Miami Heat, Toronto will likely be one of four that'll advance to the semifinals.
