A Toronto Maple Leafs prospect is putting on a show at the 2026 IIHF World Championship in Switzerland.
Teenage star Tinus Luc Koblar has put up six goals and three assists in eight games while leading Norway to the semi-final round for the first time in tournament history.
The 18-year-old Maple Leafs prospect is currently tied for second in tournament scoring alongside Canada's Macklin Celebrini.

Toronto selected Koblar with the 64th overall pick in the 2025 NHL Draft, and by the way he currently looks in his tournament against other NHL stars, it could be one of the biggest steals of the draft class.
Koblar was pretty much destined to be an elite-level athlete given his genetics.
Both his parents are three-time Olympians for Slovenia, and according to HockeySverige.se, Koblar has been mentored by Los Angeles Kings legend Anže Kopitar since he was six years old.
Before this Cinderella-like run, Norway's best-ever finish at an IIHF World Championships was two quarter-final appearances in 2008 and 2012. Both appearances ended in losses.
Koblar and Norway now have a chance to make even more history when they face tournament host Switzerland in Saturday's semi-final matchup. The winner of that game will face whoever comes out on top between Finland and Canada in Sunday's final.
Win or lose, Koblar has been excellent, and this is another prospect Maple Leafs fans can get excited about before the 2026-2027 season, besides the eventual first-overall pick.
