Sid Seixeiro Toronto

Sid Seixeiro is back on the air covering sports in Toronto

Sid Seixeiro is officially back on the air.

After teasing a return to the airwaves over the past few days, Seixeiro announced on Monday morning that he is launching the "Sid Seixeiro Show," a brand-new podcast focused on Toronto sports.

The show will run live episodes Monday to Friday at noon EST with the first episode set to debut on Feb. 9. Podcast episodes will be streamed on YouTube, X, and Facebook.

"I talked Toronto sports for a very long time in my career, and I thoroughly enjoyed it," Seixeiro said. "I've kind of missed it, I have. So, I'm back in the arena."

This follows a year-long hiatus for Seixeiro after he was let go by Rogers from his gig at CityTV's Breakfast Television. He had been in that job since 2021, but he may be better known by sports fans for his previous role at Sportsnet.

Seixeiro rose to prominence as one-half of the Tim and Sid sports talk show that aired on both radio and TV alongside co-host Tim Micallef. It was there that Seixeiro's brash opinions and humour endeared him to sports fans, before he left the show in 2021.

It's been quite a while since Seixeiro has waded back into the realm of sports, and many are excited to see him returning with a show of his own.
