Sid Seixeiro teases return to Toronto airwaves

Sid Seixeiro is making a comeback.

It's been nearly a full calendar year since the popular Toronto broadcaster was let go by Rogers from his job at CityTV's Breakfast Television, along with co-host Meredith Shaw.

Seixeiro had been with the show ever since leaving Sportsnet in 2021. Seixeiro was a popular sportscaster on Sportsnet, beloved for his humour and opinionated nature, for over a decade. He rose to stardom along with Tim Micallef as co-hosts of the popular Tim & Sid show that aired on radio and television.

"It's been a dream to work 20 years in the sports industry, especially alongside Tim Micallef, and express my passion and love for sports on a daily basis," Seixeiro said back in 2021

"Growing up, my dream was to work in sports, and I got to accomplish that, and it was damn cool."

On Thursday, Seixeiro teased his return to broadcasting as only he could.

"Hey Toronto. Did you miss me?"

Seixeiro flashed a mischievous grin to close out the clip, so let the speculation begin.

Just where and when Seixeiro will pop up next is still to be determined, but his announcement generated plenty of excitement from his many fans.

Many people are hoping for Tim & Sid to be brought back, while plenty of others speculated that Seixeiro will debut a new podcast.

Stay tuned.
