In case you've somehow missed it, the FIFA World Cup is coming to Toronto next year.
And though we don't know exactly who will be playing in Toronto yet, we do at least have many of the potential teams nailed down after Friday's preliminary draw.
After the first FIFA World Cup draw to determine the majority of group stage matches, Canada found out that they'll be playing a yet-to-qualify European opponent when their tournament kicks off on June 12, 2026.
They'll be facing one of Italy, Northern Ireland, Wales or Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the four-time champions Italy the likely toughest draw they could get.
They'll find out who their opponent is on March 31 of next year, after a four-team playoff to determine the fourth spot in Group B.
Toronto also has five other matches to be hosted, with the potential matchups now out after Friday's draw.
Basically, each of the following matchups will either be played in Toronto or elsewhere, with FIFA making those deliberations over the next 48 hours.
Here's what the rest of the tentative Toronto schedule looks like:
Group K consists of Portugal, Uzbekistan, Colombia, and the Interconfederation path 1 Playoff winner (one of New Caledonia, Jamaica, DR Congo), while Group L consists of England, Croatia, Ghana, and Panama.
There's a chance a country like England could play up to three matches in Toronto, should they be scheduled for two group stage games and then finish second in their group.
And a possible Portugal-England or Colombia-Croatia matchup certainly seems like one that would have potential to be one of the wildest matchups ever on Canadian soil.
The full schedule will be announced around noon on Saturday.
