New shipping container bar and grill pop-up slated for the West Toronto Rail Path

Forget Trinity Bellwoods, the West Toronto Rail Path is set to become the hottest place for sunshine festivities this summer with a brand-new pop-up bar and grill from El Furniture Warehouse — and the best news? They're hiring.

Known for its serine gardens, transit access, walkable trails, and gorgeous public art, the restaurant will be setting up shop with a shipping container pop-up near the Bloor Street Pedestrian Bridge for maximum reach — with DJ performances running from sun up to sun down to keep the good vibes going.

With a special summer menu featuring the signature burgers and tacos El Furniture is known for, and a craft cocktail selection that’ll cool you down, the pop-up will be the perfect place to take a quick pitstop as you’re powerwalking through the path.

el furniture warehouseWarehouse will be hiring for several front- and back-of-house positions for this pop-up, including line cooks, servers, bartenders, and a brand-new sommelier position to help customers pick out the best summer wines.

The pop-up will not only be dog friendly, but it'll also feature a set dog menu with treats and cocktails prepared in-house for your furry friends to fully enjoy the Warehouse experience.

"Whether it's for our pop-up or for our other locations, we're looking for team members that like to be social, and have fun all while making some hard-earned cash for their summer," Warehouse tells blogTO.

"I think it's just great," Junction community member Jackie Avrilo-Folson tells blogTO. "During the summer, I love going to Warehouse. Now, I don't even have to leave my neighbourhood to enjoy my favourite — the Smokeshow Burger!"

While no official dates have been set, the pop-up is scheduled for a dry run on Victoria Day weekend, with its official opening scheduled for sometime in mid-June.

If you’re interested in getting in on a summer job that’s hotter than the sun, you can apply for the pop-up now on Warehouse’s website.
