Mira Mira Assembly Chef's Hall

Mira Mira is a cheery little spot in the Assembly Chef’s Hall that offers all types of healthy dishes ranging from meat to vegan.

Unlike most of the other restaurants in Assembly, this is Mira Mira’s first and flagship location in the city.

Led by chef Amira Becarevic of Colette Grand Cafe, Mira Mira is less eggs benny and more like Planta, the vegetarian restaurant Amira also helped launch.

While not everything is vegan, dishes here are cooked with the intention of establishing Mira Mira as a go-to healthy destination. Nearly everything here is cooked in coconut oil.

Mira Mira TorontoThe barbecue okra dish ($16) is a very hearty plate of okra covered in a custom BBQ sauce that's not too spicy and a little sweet. The dish also comes with a cauliflower gratin which is covered in a vegan queso made of potatoes and carrots.

Topped with a dollop of sunflower scallion crema, this dish has a cool punch of flavour with smokey flavours and just a hint of spice.

Mira Mira TorontoThe organic honey kimchi chicken ($18) is finished with a honey glaze. The chicken is marinated for 24 hours before it's seared on a grill and topped with a kimchi mixture.

Mira Mira TorontoThe chimichurri coloured watercress sauce is absolutely delicious, and accompanying the kale salad is also refreshing. While not cheap, this is an overall good dish for people who want to eat healthy but still get their protein fix.

Beverage options include bone broth and a chicken, lemongrass, turmeric tea for $5 each. They’ve also got a smoothie ($6.50) that contains chia, collagen, hemp hearts, and almond milk.
