Mieluna
Mieluna is a cozy Toronto cafe that brings breakfast to the next level.
Tucked away on the bottom floor of Bell Trinity Square, Mieluna first opened its doors in October of 2025.
The dining room is decked out in shades of white and blue, with circular lamps hanging from the ceiling. Hanging vines frame the takeout counter, while orchids and cherry blossoms line the tabletops.
Overall, the atmosphere is calm and relaxing. Aasif, the owner of the cafe, tells us that the aesthetic was chosen with children and families in mind.
"I didn't want it to feel too much like a business," he explains. "I wanted it to feel more like a community hub."
Aasif also mentions that he wanted the cafe to pay homage to many different culinary traditions. As a seasoned traveller, Aasif has gotten to try foods from all over the world, each with their own unique flavours.
In order to share those flavours with his customers, the cafe's menu takes inspiration from European, Asian and Middle Eastern cuisine.
Everything on the menu is preservative and antibiotic-free, to ensure that the flavour remains intact. The menu is also 100 per cent halal.
Truffle Eggs Benedict ($15) is an indulgent breakfast dish, consisting of poached eggs and turkey bacon on a toasted English muffin. Truffle-infused hollandaise sauce is drizzled on top, giving the dish its distinctive taste.
Roasted potatoes and fresh greens are served on the side.
Citrus Mascarpone French Toast ($15) consists of toasted brioche, topped with mascarpone cream, orange zest, powdered sugar and blueberry garnish.
It also comes with a side of maple syrup, in case you want to make this sweet dish even sweeter.
The Melty Cheese Burger ($19) is a messy but mouth-watering riff on a classic cheeseburger.
Served in a cast-iron skillet, this dish features lettuce, tomatoes and beef on a brioche bun, surrounded by crispy fries and sticky cheese sauce.
Since this makes the burger a bit difficult to grab, the chef cuts it in half, making the meal a bit more manageable.
Lemon Butter Grilled Salmon ($21) is coated in lemon dill and beurre blanc, then placed atop a mountain of jasmine rice. Seasonal vegetables, such as onions, tomatoes and lettuce, are served with a zesty sesame dressing.
Of all the dishes we tried, this one was a particular standout. The vegetables were crisp and flavourful, and the meat was light and flaky, with just the right amount of seasoning.
The rose latte ($7) is a warm, comforting drink, made with steamed milk and rose essence. It also features a small piece of latte art, with dried rose petals sprinkled on top.
The jabuticaba mojito ($10) is a bright pink mocktail made from pomegranate juice, lemon juice and soda water. It has a tart, tropical flavour, tempered with the taste of mint.
The drink is served over ice, then garnished with a mint sprig, as well as a tiny paper umbrella.
Mieluna is located at 483 Bay Street, Unit 110S.
