The 106-storey Pinnacle SkyTower recently laid claim to the title of Canada's new tallest building. Construction crossed the 100-floor mark at the close of 2025, and the enormous condo tower still has a bit more to climb before it tops out at a staggering height of almost 352 metres.
Standing slightly higher than the CN Tower's observation pod, the city's hottest new skyline addition is shaping up to be the punctuation mark on what has been a historic building frenzy leading up to the current market collapse.
And while the building boom is probably coming to a close, Vancouver-based developer Pinnacle International has definitely left a mark on Toronto's built form, with a tower that could soon claim the title of the world's 11th-tallest residential building.
The SkyTower's immense height has been underscored in recent aerial views captured by local photographer Kotsy and shared on Instagram.
The condo development will place many residents basically as close to the heavens as possible in Canada, which means unit dwellers will regularly be treated to otherworldly views from above low cloud layers.

In Kotsy's photos captured during low cloud conditions last week, only SkyTower, the CN Tower, and a handful of other tall office towers can be seen breaching the clouds, creating a breathtaking visual that looks like a sci-fi city in the sky.

SkyTower came out the victor in a high-profile skyscraper race against the problem-plagued 85-storey One Bloor West project. The latter ultimately became Canada's first 'supertall' skyscraper last year when it crossed the 300-metre mark, ending the 298-metre First Canadian Place's 50-year reign as the country's tallest building.
However, through a series of height increases, Pinnacle's SkyTower was able to wrestle away this title mere months later, and is now officially the tallest habitable structure in Canada (the CN Tower is not classified as a building).

Residents of the building's 958 units will be treated to some of the best views in town, and even residents living on lower floors will be able to take in the soaring panoramas from a planned 106th-floor amenity level.
The building will also house the new Le Meridien Toronto Pinnacle Hotel, set to open in 2026.
