Canada's largest botanical garden to become Ontario's own winter wonderland

Ontario's holiday season is getting a festive glow-up as Canada's largest botanical garden transforms into a winter wonderland.

Winter Wonders returns to Hendrie Park at Royal Botanical Gardens this month, allowing guests to stroll through dazzling light displays, enjoy festive music, and indulge in holiday treats.

Beyond the thousands of twinkling lights and installations perfect for holiday photo ops, an on-site vendor market will help you check off those last-minute gift items, too. Browse local vendors and shop an array of handcrafted items to bring home for everyone on your list.

Visitors looking to beat the cold can step inside the Mediterranean Garden and Breezeway to explore the greenery, check out the Botanical Train Display, and stop by the on-site gift shop for a little extra holiday shopping.

Winter Wonders runs from Nov. 26 to Jan. 3, from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., on select days throughout the week. Tickets cost $22, plus a $2 service fee and applicable taxes, and must be purchased online in advance. It will be closed to the public from Dec. 24 to Jan. 1.
