Huge Jamaican food festival will bring heat to Toronto in the dead of winter

If you're dreaming of an island vacation in the dead of winter, you will soon have the chance to get transported to the tropics without passports or plane tickets, as Jamaica in Toronto returns to Stackt Market next month.

The popular shipping container marketplace will host an annual dose of warmth and Jamaican food in the dead of winter next month.

Sponsor JamaicanEats Magazine is bringing the second edition of its Jamaica in Toronto back to Stackt

This year's theme, Anthem of Jamaica, celebrates unity and solidarity within the Jamaican community, as well as its resilience following Hurricane Melissa, a tropical cyclone that caused widespread destruction in Jamaica and Cuba this year.

Jamaica in Toronto returns with classic foods like Trini Doubles, ginger beer, jerk, and more, alongside live music and other festivities, including cooking demonstrations from Toronto-based chefs.

Jamaica in Toronto takes place on Jan. 17, 2026, starting at 11 a.m., and general admission is free. Toronto residents can reserve a ticket on Eventbrite to ensure entry on the day of the event.

The festival will be held at Stackt Market, located at 28 Bathurst St.
