Canadian International Air Show returns to Toronto with fan faves next month

The Canadian International Air Show (CIAS) is making its epic return for its 76th year, bringing high-flying thrills and jaw-dropping aerial displays to the city's waterfront over the Labour Day weekend, from August 30 to September 1, 2025.

Whether you're a long-time aviation enthusiast or just looking for an unforgettable long weekend event, this is a spectacle you won't want to miss.

A Toronto tradition since 1949

Taking place over Lake Ontario near Exhibition Place, the Air Show has been a Labour Day staple in Toronto for generations. It's North America's longest-running air show and the grand finale of the CNE, drawing thousands of people each year to parks, rooftops, and patios all along the waterfront.

The show will run daily from 12 p.m. to 3:40 p.m., with the best viewing spots located at Exhibition Place, Ontario Place, Coronation Park, and along the shoreline near Sunnyside.

Who's flying this year?

This year's lineup includes both returning favourites and thrilling newcomers that you don't want to miss! From solo stunt pilots to military jets flying in formation, each day of the show promises heart-pounding action in the skies.

You can expect The Northern Stars Aeroteam, The Canadian Forces Snowbirds, and so many more to grace the skies this year! A full list of performers will be available in the coming weeks.

You'll want to grab tickets soon because they do run out fast! General Admission starts at $102.99, and prices go up based on the experience you choose!

Pair the Air Show with a visit to the CNE, which wraps up on Labour Day. Go for the planes and stay for the ample thrills and delicious food featured at The Ex! There's something poetic about finishing off your cotton candy and hearing the distant roar of a fighter jet overhead. Don't you think?

If you're sticking around the city this Labour Day long weekend, this is one of the most iconic (and thrilling) ways to send off summer in Toronto.
