Toronto hotel workers vote to strike

Toronto hotel workers have voted 94% in favour of strike action if contact negotiations break down between the union and management. And if ever there was pressure to get a deal done, the looming G20 might just provide some of the best leverage a Toronto union's had in quite some time.

Workers could walk off the job as early as June 23 or 24 (at certain hotels) if they're not satisfied that their contract demands have been met. That, as you might have figured, is just a couple days before the start of the G20.

Here's an idea: why don't the hotels bring in the 1100 private security agents to work as scabs!

Just kidding, for more serious info, there's this (Globe) and this (CBC).
